Nora from Canora

I am thrilled to share that my new children's ebook has arrived. Nora from Canora is live in the Kids section on Rakuten Kobo.

The story opens when a tiny orphaned cougar cub is rescued near Rocky Mountain House in Alberta, Canada, by Aaron Reaney, a conservation officer. He and his wife Amanda were out on a family walk with their young twins, Ashley and Carter. They found the fragile cub and brought her home. The family names her Nora and welcomes her with open hearts. They raise her with love and bottle feedings. Nora also gets to enjoy Saskatchewan Roughriders football games right along with everyone else.

As Nora grows, she becomes a gentle spotted member of the family. She seems far more interested in her people than in returning to the wild. Circumstances later bring the Reaneys to Canora. This move shapes the rest of their journey with Nora and gives the story its title.

This is a heartwarming tale about family and caring for a wild animal that finds its way into your life. It touches gently on compassion, family, and wildlife. It does so without ever feeling like a lesson. The Canadian prairie-based details, such as the football games, add a familiar touch for many readers who call the prairies their home.

It works well for reading together at bedtime or for kids who like animal stories and family adventures. The price is easy on the wallet at just 6.99 CAD. If you have Kobo

Plus, it may be included there too.

Nora is out in the world now, and I am glad she gets to meet some readers.
